What built-in templates are
Built-in templates are extraction schemas created and maintained by ParseMe. They define which fields to extract from a specific document type — an invoice template extracts vendor name, date, line items, and total; a resume template extracts name, skills, education, and experience.
Built-in templates are shared across all accounts, periodically updated by ParseMe to improve accuracy, and cannot be edited directly. Duplicate any built-in template to create a customizable copy.
Available built-in templates
- Standard Invoice — vendor, invoice number, date, line items, subtotal, tax, total
- Purchase Order — PO number, vendor, delivery date, items, totals
- Resume / CV — name, email, phone, skills, work experience, education
- Business Contract — parties, effective date, term, governing law, obligations
- NDA — disclosing/receiving parties, term, jurisdiction, confidentiality scope
- Receipt — merchant, date, items, tax, total, payment method
- W-2 — employer, EIN, wages, federal/state tax withheld
- Bank Statement — account holder, account number, transactions, running balance
Creating your own templates
If a built-in template doesn't match your document exactly, create a custom template on the Templates page. Define any field names, add descriptions to guide the AI, and even auto-generate a schema by uploading a sample document.
