What 'Pending' means
The Pending badge means ParseMe has received your document and created an extraction job, but a worker hasn't started processing it yet. Documents move from Pending to Processing within seconds under normal load.
Pending is a normal transient state — every document passes through it briefly before processing begins.
Why a document might stay pending longer
Pending documents wait longer when:
- High usage volume — many users are uploading simultaneously and the queue is temporarily busy
- Worker restart — the processing worker is restarting after a deployment
- Large batch upload — many documents uploaded at once are processed sequentially
Frequently Asked Questions
Do pending documents count against my quota?
No — only completed documents consume pages from your quota.
How long should pending take?
Typically under 10 seconds. If a document stays pending for more than 2 minutes, try refreshing the page.
